Simple recipe for Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Coat each chicken thigh in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Place the chicken thighs in the hot oil, skin-side down.
  5. Fry the chicken for about 8-10 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when tested with a meat thermometer.
  6. Remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  7. Serve the fried chicken hot, garnished with your favorite herbs and spices.
