Fresh and healthy Cream Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh fruit for topping (such as berries, sliced peaches, or kiwi)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, applesauce, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Once the cake is cooled, spread the yogurt mixture over the top of the cake.
  9. Top the cake with fresh fruit of your choice.
  10. Serve and enjoy your delicious and healthy cream cake!

Note: You can adjust the sweetness of the cake by using more or less honey in both the cake batter and yogurt topping, depending on your preference.
